This was great! I loved the natural progression of the relationship between Jim and Spock.

That was really interesting. I did not expect Jim not to regain his memories, but it made for an original twist and on the emotional front I think you exploited it well. The way he immediately trusted Spock when he woke up, on him when he built his new life, and how he told him of his feelings and the way he realized his "former" him loved Spock too were lovingly done. And I loved that last line. I can just imagined Jim's pout after his words didn't have the expected effect on Bones. LOL. really nice.

Thanks. I know a lot of amnesia fics are kind of same-y, and originally, I intended for Jim to get his memories back, but the more I wrote, the more I realised maybe it would be better for him not to get his memories back.

And I can definitely imagine the pouts/snarky comments that would follow Bones' slap-down.

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate you taking the time to read and review. ♥

Yay, Hazards! Oh, I have missed you so! *cuddles fic*

I'm so happy you reposted this!! This fic is funny and warm and cute, but what's really great about it is that Jim never recovers his memories. When I read it for the first time, I kept waiting for the moment when something or someone would trigger Jim's memories because that's where this kind of fic usually goes, and you have no idea how much I love that this never happens. I also love that Jim doesn't really dwell too much on what is lost, but chooses to enjoy the life he has and the new possibilities it will bring him. Jim is so sweet and adorably innocent in this, he melts my heart, and I love how he immediately felt a connection to Spock when he woke up in the woods. When Jim told Spock he knows they loved each other before he lost his memories I teared up along with Jim, and his final conversation with Bones cracked me up :)

Btw, I spotted some missing words/letters here and there:
“So, what are going to do?” Jim’s voice surprised him
Spock knew he should discourage the ( ... )

Corrections made. Thank you so much for pointing them out. Really appreciate it. I knew there were a lot of mistypes in this fic, and I already fixed a whole lot before I reposted it! Gosh! Sure you don't want to beta read for me?

Anyway. So, I'm glad you're happy I resposted it. The other day, I thought of you and your comment and decided to try and respost some of my other fic.

When I got the request for an amnesia fic, I was originally planning to give him back his memories. But the more I wrote, the more I thought that maybe it would be better if they didn't come back. And I really think that Jim wouldn't really dwell. He's Jim Kirk, after all. That's what I'd like to think I'd do. Like Jim, I'd get sad sometimes about things I don't remember, but I'd like to think I'd accept it ( ... )

Congrats on your NaNo win!!! Very impressive! I'm already looking forward to reading your story when it's done :)

I'd love to beta read for you if you need help! (I should tell you that English is not my first language, although I'm usually quite proficient at spotting spelling mistakes and simple grammatical errors).

Also, never apologise for long comments; I absolutely love to hear from writers on what they think of their own stories...
