Exams aren't important!

And yes, Jim had a rough first day../days on the Enterprise. Every time I think about the movie, I wonder how it is that he was still standing by the end of it. As for his promotion, yes...I think his promotion was a bit unbelieveable, given that he has absolutely no field experience. As such, I think he might have a few issues when commanding, because he simply has no experience.

I'm also glad that Bones reminded you of TOS!Bones. As the story progresses, and the characters get older, I hope that they willl begin to resemble their TOS counterparts more and more.

Thank you for reading and commenting, as always. ♥

I love your take on the characters and their interactions and look forward to more of this story.

(however I'm wondering -are there no dermal regenerators at all in your version of this 'verse??)

Thanks for the comment. About dermal regenerators...I would have had Jim use one, but for whatever reason, in his promotion ceremony at the end of the movie, he still has very dark bruising on his face. There had to be some time in between landing and that promotion, (and furthermore, where would he have gotten scars on his face if there were regenerators?), so let's just say that Jim likes to take a natural route to healing? >___

Wow, this is good. I've always admired people who can write epics and this is a damn good start. It fills in the blanks between the end of the battle and the promotion ceremony quite nicely. Keep going!
