So, I've been trying to get back into my writing phase. As part of that, I'm also working on reposting some of my older stories, including a lot which have never seen the light of day.

For the first time, in many, many years, I got to attend FurCon basically as nothing other than an attendee. I didn't once have a radio on my person, and for most of the con, didn't wear a staff badge.

I feel oddly guilty for that, but damn, I loved it.

( I won't say Best Con Ever, but it was damned close, and may well have been! )

So, this year, I have no plans for halloween, or any of the weeks leading up to it. I'd love to find some nice place to be an evil demon.

Anyone know of good haunts around here looking for volunteers?

Although he really wasn't a secret per se, the demon Gilrandree was finally introduced at Eurofurence. He is the latest of a small number of commissioned costumes I have in my possession now, built by Clockwork Creatures / qarrezel.

Well, the boat purchase just cleared another hurdle. Made the test sail in it today (alas, light winds), and had it inspected. No major issues in the inspection, just some "safety issues." (Which sounds much worse than it is; flares are expired, fire extinguisher needs to be inspected, and needs to have an anchor on board, all of which are ( Read more... )

So, it looks like the name "Fearful Symmetry" was the clear winner in the names, and I admit it's growing on me. I still don't have the boat, but it's going to inspection Monday, and once a bit of paperwork clears, it will be moving forward (assuming the inspection is OK ( Read more... )
