And I'm such a pussy that they make me cry all the time. Even the damned Visa commercials with Morgan Freeman doing the voice-over make me cry.

On the other hand, does Bob Costas have a bad rug or just a really bad dye job?

Also: my niece broke her arm.

No, she was at someplace call Tiny Town. Well, hell, maybe she playing Olympics there, I dunno. To quote my sister, "She landed smack on her left elbow and has a third degree distal humerus fracture, the worst of that type of fracture. Pretty much means that the humerus was knocked completely away from her elbow joint. No tendon/muscle/nerve damage that we know of at the time. She had outpatient surgery yesterday to reduce the fracture and pin the joint back together. She's in an open cast (open on the sides and wrapped with ace bandages) until Tuesday when she'll be put in a hard cast. They are allowing swelling to go down because her arm was swollen to twice it's normal size. She'll wear that cast for three weeks. It will be removed. The pins will be removed and she'll be recast for three more weeks."

Poor kid. My sister says she's doing well, though, just keeps on going.

Re: Mary Carillo - argh. She does not need to be doing stories about pandas making love.

I won't say I'm addicted to the Olympics, but I do find myself getting caught up in an event from time to time.
