Ok, I'm sorry it has to come down to this, but money...So I have just finished my first year of graduate school and I'm not good enough for a fellowship, and the government only give loans and workstudy to graduate students.And then this year, I didn't even get workstudy because they told me "they weren't giving workstudy to graduate students"- I got it back later, because I emailed them straightaway to complain. But at first I though I would have to work a bazillion hours at Panera to try to keep up with the expense of living, on top of all the loans i am incurring.

For a field that doesn't have jobs- music.

If i could do it all over again, I think I would be teaching for at least a few years to gain experience and to gain money.

I think I agree that making money will make things less stressful for you financially. On the other hand, I put everything I had into my job as the Asst. Mgr. of a retail clothing store and relied on that one job to pay my bills for the rest of my life. Then? I got fired and it took almost one full calendar year for ANYONE to consider rehiring me. Not to mention that the reason I got hired in the first place was because Ms. Baker's roomie is the manager of the store where I work, so I had an in ( ... )
