eyes narrowing hesitantly, pulling back as if the pizza is about to bite her. ]

Here I thought the tomatoes were going to run away again. Glad that's over.

Miss it? Yes... I kind of miss it. But I can't say I'm in a 'hurry' to go back either. I think I can get used to this place. I mean, living vegetables aside, this place is kind of nice.

And why's that?
[a shrug]
A world of dreams..seems pleasant enough to some, I suppose.

I have nothing really important to do back home.

Besides, all this experience might be worth something in the end.

What optimistic thinking.
I suppose it's interesting, when you count what could happen. Unless you can expect it.

I have nothing to go back to. Home will give me nothing but a fiery grave.

Hm. I suppose I can't sense it as much anymore, but I do recall your face.

Ironic, that you would dread death.

What kind of question is that? Of course I want to go back! She's waiting for me back home!

[Boy's only told that to how many people now? He's like a broken record.]

Is she now? She doesn't even know you're gone.

[He figured that, since he heard there was some "other him" taking his place back home. Didn't mean he liked hearing it, though.] That doesn't matter. I still need to be with her!

Do you love her?

So, you have also been here before, and forgotten that time? It's strange... but at least I'm not the only one.

So I implied. Precisely why I asked. It must have been too boring to recall.

Boring? Somehow I doubt that. If I could not recall it upon the instant of returning home, it stands to reason that they were blocked, or lost completely. Of course, the same is true of dreams -- some we remember forever, and others slip away as soon as we wake. If Somarium is truly a "dream world", I'd guess it has something to do with it.

Perhaps not to you, you're still a child.
You'd be surprised at what you forget in 'forever'.

Of course I miss it and wish to return. I doubt you'd find many people saying otherwise. As for why I must return, it is my duty to be there for my emperor and royal family.

But there is always another side to doubt, you know.

And why is that? What loyalty do you owe them?

As true as that may be, I can't imagine why anyone would prefer remaining here over returning home.

As for your question, a better one would be "what loyalty do I not owe them?" My emperor and his family have served and protected me for hundreds of years. I would not be who I am today were it not for them.

Have you not heard? Some claim they are 'dead' in their world. Or else I'm mistaken and this is a place for the afterlife.

And why have they protected you? You feel nostalgic.
