It's funny how things change, such as a story told by someone under a certain circumstance that magically becomes a totally different story once one variable - that should not affect it - does. In this case I speak of the [now] "family" trip Terri's family is planning. Originally it was a just Terri's mom and dad that were going to go. Terri ( Read more... )

Side note to Nate's last comment. Yes I tried to play it on a laptop. Though I am fully aware of laptops unability to compare to a PC of same stats, the stats of this laptop are so much more powerful than my last PC that I thought it'd work. It would, too, except that the programmers of Doom III (I feel) did a shitty job creating their graphics. The graphics are not much or any more spectacular than any other game I've seen and it runs like shit on almost any machine. Every other game I've played on this laptop is all it should be. COnsequently even =when I had a PC i never played Doom III. It was an ok game while it lasted, but in the contest between it and Half Life 2 it was like comparing my old Dodge Shadow to this new car. Only even start running that comparison through your mind if you feel like a laugh.

P.S. Terri says she likes your balls.

Another side note - something I thought of this morning... Since initially this trip was strictly a mom and dad thing, wouldn't the original plan have been to leave Adam home with Terri? Even despite the apparent risk of slavery? It was ok before in that case..

Now suddenly it's a problem. This infers one of two things:
a) Mom is just pulling excuses from her ass as they come to her - making things up as she goes
b) Mom's decision was influenced along the way by someone, bringing to her attention things she had not previously considered.

If it's a, it's shitty that excuses are all we have to deal with. If it's b, it's a shame that some need to get by by screwing their way into their ideal situation.
