Thankee! And I agree, it's so totally plausible. I was brainstorming for meanings of green, and thought of inexperienced... thought of Butler on his first day at the academy... the rest was inevitable. I particularly like the progression of endured/defended/fought/won/defended another. So totally Butler! *squeees at the inspiriation that let her write this*
The only thing that niggles at me about it is the last sentence. Not really like Butler to so totally overreact, since the kid involved was likely to be six or something. But nothing else seemed to fit, so... I guess he just hated bullies.
Despite what you said, thewhitelily, I like the last line. It gives it humor. Artemis Fowl fandom just begs for humor...it's in the nature of the books.
It's funny; when I read your cut, I thought you were talking about evolution. Ha, I'm weird like that. Nice job; it was a personal look into Butler. That's a rare thing.
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I struggle a bit with humour, so I'm glad to hear that it was funny. :)
Hehe, that is funny - especially since the title I briefly considered was "It's not easy being green" by Kermit the Frog. Would have had you completely confused!
Very good. I do agree with you, however, that the last line is a bit of an overreaction for the reasons you just said. But on the whole, it is a very good drabble. :)
