...exams are interesting things. once i get into it i actually like studying, particularly for the courses that i haven't paid all that much attention to...learning can be fun! (i swear it can!) just not when it's constrained by due dates and massive pressure to live up to personal and community expectations based on fairly arbitrary questions ( Read more... )

Oooo, "House of Leaves." Andy recommended that to me; he LOVES it. I still haven't gotten around to reading it yet, though. But I am totally with you on the 'reading non-academic books' thing. "Fast Food Nation" is about half-done and sitting next to my bed looking lonely, and underneath that is a book Andy lent me called "Ballad of the Whiskey Robber," which I read a little bit of and like... but nooo tiiiimmme. :-(

Well, you can cross the out for dinner with Rob one off the list. Now we're on to in for dinner with Rob where I'll need to prove to you that I have culinary abilities.

And now I really need to go to bed already because I have a 9am invigilation.
