Kirk/Spock is inter species like whoa- the cultural dichotomy between a human man like Kirk and what a Vulcan is perceived to be is a huge chunk of the intrigue.
I do like Lord of the Rings, a lot, but it's in a very general way. I don't much venture into the fandom. I don't have a specific set of likes and dislikes or anything about the story that stood out to me as a fanon interest, nor do I have pairing preferences, which makes shuffling through the massive collection of fic/art a pretty daunting looking task if I don't even really know what I'm looking for.
It wasn't my first introduction to most of the actors either (such as Elijah Wood, who will always kind of be Casey for me, because I loved horror/scifi above any other cinema at the time in my young life that I saw The Faculty, which was the first thing I ever saw him in and watched a million times in a row as younger children are want to do. So while I have a liking for the character of Frodo- he's not the be all end all Elijah character for me ( ... )

That's precisely why I love Hobbits/Men so much in LotR.
You see Josh from H2O? LOL I think I've only seen part of that film.
Oh, trust me, I plan on going NUTS this summer with anti-dead-ness.

this is adorable. I love the cute round little stars at the bottom, it makes it look like on of those cute family photos you find in parenting/baby magazines

I really loved making those stars- they're just so bouncy baby, and he's a space baby, so yeah- obvious. (I have this image of a little tinker-toy Enterprise jetting through space with them flaying out behind it. Which in turn decided what the title of this was going to be.)
Or, alternatively: Those stars are apparently where my ovaries finally exploded
