Okay, I need to know your take on this. My biology teacher was telling us about this experiment. Scientists hooked up plants to polygraph machines, and they got readings. The needles would spike if the plant sensed it was about to be cut with scissors, the needles would spike if a person that spent a lot of time with the plant entered the building, thats like recognition and familiarity being discovered in something that isnt believed to have a brain. Does this mean plants have conciousness? If so, does being a vegetarian/vegan matter at all? Cause if plants are concious, killing them is just as cruel as killing animals right? Lemme know what you make of it.
