So lately I've been going back and rewatching old shows that I either never started, never finished, or just really liked. Mostly because there really are so few shows nowadays that I enjoy. Everyone is so caught up in being real and gritty(which isn't especially a bad thing) and I really can't enjoy it mostly. Like, I want to watch Jessica Jones,

Everyone is so caught up in being real and gritty
I like that sometimes, e.g. I love "The Americans", but I can't handle it longterm. I need other stuff to space it out. And "Jessica Jones", woah, much too scary for me to watch alone at night. I'm still planning on watching it with a friend (but Lucifer got in the way, ooops :)).
So basically, I spent last year watching fluffy-bunny shows like The Librarians (with which I unexpectedly fell in love head over heels), and Elementary. Okay, maybe Elementary isn't all bunnies ;), but it feels so calm and unexcited in comparison. I don't dread watching it.
Almost Human. It had all the great components: great actors, a fun futuristic non-dysotopian sci-fi plot, interesting weekly plots and the potential to turn the overarching plot into something more. And yet, the show failed in a magnificently spectacular fashionI agree wholeheartedly - omg that show was bad. And it had so much potential! And good actors! And an android! *headdesk ( ... )

Yeah, I have a few shows I love a lot, but I haven't touched them in ages because I really need to be extra stable to bear them. The Americans is one of them, The West Wing another.
I've been meaning to watch The Librarians! And Leverage lol. I've heard good things
I haven't managed to get into Leverage yet, but I will try again. I think John Rogers is very good. It takes itself a little more seriously than the Librarians do - which is exactly what I appreciate about the Librarians. ;D
Elementary has been one of my favs since it started. It's funny because I doubted it seriously before it aired because I didn't like that they erased John/Joan's military service, but it blew me away entirely and quickly surpassed Sherlock in terms of quality.Yes! They way it convinced everyone even after so much fandom hype against it, that was just amazing. I was hesitant because people thought they'd only genderswitched John so they could ( ... )

Elementary completely validated itself and proved so many of us wrong and I'm just very very proud of it for it! I'm kind of the opposite; in the beginning I wouldn't have minded them together but now I feel like they're reached a sort of brother-sister thing and I can't imagine them together together now!
It's fun and short and I'll be honest, Phillip Winchester is very pretty to look at, but on top of that the main female character is just absolutely incredible and I want to be like her when I grow up. She's very impressive and there's actually a scene in the last episode where it's all set up for her to be a damsel in distress but she turns it around a la The Black Widow and interrogates her interrogators. Amazing.
