i don't know. one day i was working out and a message appeared on the screen indicating the battery was low. each night i charge the battery to its fullest and it didn't make sense. i brought over tuesday and the apple techie told me to updated. i did that the same day and here i am currently in the apple store waiting in line. hopefully they can give me a new one since its under warranty. take care of your precious iPod!! haha wish me luck.
