i have to say i love my canon, though they are more costly.

which canon do you have? the nikon d40 is rather cheap but only 6 megapixels i suppose. for what i'd be using it for though i think it'd be okay.

the 350D. i got it two years ago, and have never regretted it. i don't plan on changing/upgrading for a long time & think over time it was a good thing to buy.

hmm that's about £540 on amazon. the 400D was about £376 which is still £100 more than the D40. i think i shall have to pay a visit to a camera shop with my dad and maybe ask for money towards it for my birthday. i've had my fujifilm s7000 for 3 or 4 years now but it needs upgrading!
