I've booked flights and a hotel for Paris! Yesss! I am so excited. Me and Scott are going on the 12th July and returning on the 15th, just after my 21st. We can see all the bastille day celebrations too. I have spent all day looking around google earth - their street view photos for Paris are amazing and so helpful in getting your bearings.

Oh I'm so jealous. I've never spent Bastille Day in France. Apparently it's great fun! I hope you have lots of fun. I lived in France for a while and used to spend my weekends wondering around Paris. Enjoy it!

Pancakes look yum. Hope you're not worrying anymore.

During your year out, you could always work as a LSA to gain experience if you really want to do a PGCE. You can do it part-time or full-time. It's quite flexible I think. Looks great on a PGCE application and gives you lots of experience working with young people, working a school, observing other teachers etc.

Yes, I was thinking about doing something like that, assistant teaching or doing youth work stuff. I'm going to see a careers advisor tomorrow to help me decide what will be best to do on my year out to enchance my CV :)

I would love to be able to just pop to Paris!

It was great. Only an hour on the TGV so I could get home easily at night and I got to know my way around quite a bit. It was surreal and I'd pinch myself as I strolled around. I celebrated my 21st there too. Lots of fun to be had!

Good luck with your interview x

I'm so so so jealous that you know what you want to do with your life and are doing as much as you can to achieve your goals. I'm (not so) patiently waiting for UCAS to accept me or reject me I wish it would hurry up! xx

I only have a vague idea really though! I am jealous of you starting a new course and having so many opportunities ahead of you!

Dear Helen,
I really hope this doesn't come off as creepy. I saw on your flickr that your a big fan of BarryM nail vanish. I have a rather large collection myself and was planning on throwing some of them away but if you like I would be more than happy to send them to you free of charge just because I'd rather someone else who loves barrym has them than the bottom of the bin. The colours I have are 115 (dark red), 136 (orange), 290 (light green), 217 (blue glitter), 119 (pale pink) all of these have only been used once!
If your interested to send a reply to my email grace_ofmy_heart@hotmail.com if not thank-you for your time reading this.
Ally xx
