yes it is very scary! especially as all you hear is how bad the job market is for graduates. but i couldn't really afford to do a masters and i'd had enough of essay writing, etc! (although i will probably start to miss it soon!) my boyfriend is doing a masters now though and loves it.

I love to go berry picking this time of year! Baking tastes so much better with freshly picked berries. And your cupcakes look delicious as always!

I agree about applying for just one or two jobs at a time instead of a bunch. That's what I did and it forced me to put an extra effort into those one or two applications (which eventually paid off!). You're right on track though...remember that you just barely finished uni. You're not supposed to find something right away. Enjoy your summer first...and Paris!

xx

i know, my mum keeps telling me to just enjoy the summer off, but i think i'll start to get bored after paris and my birthday, especially as scott is still in uni over the summer doing his masters project. that's why i said i'll do volunteer work or something, i like to keep busy! i'm hoping i can go strawberry picking this weekend if they're ready.

i thought you did! any tips on how to make a good application for a graduate mentor? ;-) hehe. it sounds like a really good job though and i've enjoyed talking to the kids in school about my experience at uni.

I'll try! Focus on aspiration raising, say that you really want to make a difference - I think the most important thing would be to be enthusiastic! It was Aimhigher week last week and I know there were some articles in the press about Aimhigher associates, you've probably already researched this, but try and have a search for them!

luckily i had these recipes scanned cos i've lent my hummingbird bakery cookbook out! the recipe says to put the strawberries in the bottom but we found that they were just a bit messy in the bottom, so next time i'm going to put a blob of cake mix in the bottom, then the strawberries. the icing is really delicious.
