Harvard or Stanford? Convince me.

On another note, there's been so much about global warming in the media. I think it's really important, but ultimately we're all going to react too late because the main bulk of America, though conscious of the problem and situation, is like a giant blob. It needs to be steered. And the only two things that steer ( Read more... )

Oh, and by the way, I think a dozen or so Alaskan Polar Bears have drowned because of melting glaciers.

Apparently, since there are less ice floes, each one is farther apart, causing the bear to have to swim miles and miles to reach another chunk of ice. Exhausted, they drown. This event has never been recorded ever before.

Oh my god Angelo, I love you. You are the only interesting person on my friends list!

As for your dilemma... you know how I feel about Stanford :D heheh jk jk!

In all seriousness though, 20k from Stanford!? That's great and it should really be a heavy deciding factor here. Also, maybe you can hook me up with the underground party network there.

But... Boston & the four seasons compared to Palo Alto and... like, two seasons? Man, I'M confused about this decision, and it's not even mine to make! LOL! Good luck though, because honestly, it doesn't matter where you go. You'd do great in either place :D

To be fair to yourself, and also to rid myself of any wrongdoing should you make the "incorrect" choice -- that is to say, end up where you don't feel comfortable or satisfied -- I feel that ultimately, you realy ought to think this over yourself. Personally, I've loved the Stanford campus ever since my parents brought me there as a kid, and I've spent 3 summers there already. However, not to discount your mother's alma mater or anything, but Harvard is, well, the best. I'll echo Christine's words that you'll definitely thrive in both environments, but I'm assuming that should you end up dissatisfied with where you are, you can transfer to the other school :P

Oh, and snow is really, really annoying sometimes. A breathtaking sight f'sho, but still a pain in the arse nonetheless.
