Notes: I found my style falling into a bit of rut and I wasn't too fond of it, so this is the result of a style challenge. I wrote it at four in the morning.

( She wanted them, the little glass, brightly color monkeys, the day we walked through that store on our way out the other door to the rest of the mall. )

Ooh, this was very cool. I like the style choices here - what kind of exercise did you set out to do? I like the visual images too, and the details about the sound also.

The exercise was to adopt an old/rarely used/never used style of mine. This is something of an update of an old style I used mainly in creative writing classes.
