In many ways, she was crueler than Peter. She pushed Neal further, hurt him worse, and asked more of his body. And Neal struggled for her. He’d never failed Peter; Elizabeth, though, expected him to fail her more often than not, made it okay and made it hurt.

GOD I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I could read this dynamic for the rest of my life. That first line was great, and it just got better and better after that.
