I'm pretty sure I don't like the idea of him being president.

See, I'm in a weird position: I love Barack Obama, but I'm terrified of black people.

WHAT DO I DO?????

Do black people scare you more than Hilary Clinton?

No, women scare me most of all. ...Besides the Jews.

It's amazing and so refreshing how bluntly honest he is about his own past. Instead of trying to hide it, he puts it out there, and then explains why he believes he made that choice, and why he doesn't anymore.

I think he is an attractive and well-spoken man--wait, does that mean that I think that black people aren't attractive or well-spoken?
Maybe I should watch what I say.
Come on Alex, you have to agree that that is the biggest load of crap ever. And kinda funny as well.

What is the biggest load of crap ever? Do you think that I support him because he's a black man running for president?

while I probably support him the most of the presidential candidates, my fear is that he may win because he's black, as opposed to the qualities that would make him a good leader for this country. solely because he's not white already makes him appealing to the voting minorities demographic; it's kind of like how Bush can pull in a massive quantity of votes just on the fact that a)he makes it publicly known he's christian, and b)an overwhelming number of people vote on the republican ticket just because they automatically believe that's the best choice.

In short, it's not my lack of faith in Obama as a presidential candidate, it's my lack of faith in American Popular Sovereignty.

The only problem with your argument, is that Hilary Clinton is polling much, much higher than Obama with black voters right now.

Obama is a good choice, because of his mind and his stance. I get angry at people who peg him because of color.

As do I. His skin color has absolutely nothing to do with his policies, and they're why I believe in him.
