omfg you guys MY LIGHTSABER FINALLY CAME. I ordered it in February but it got held up because both the hilts my roommate and I picked out were back-ordered. Mine came back into stock a bit ago but wouldn't ship until hers did that finally happened!
I got Ultrasaber's replica of Obi-Wan's hilt from Episode I with the blade in Guardian Blue & the pulse/flash on clash in Arctic Blue, and I spent way too much money on it (although not as much as I could've - I convinced myself I didn't need to be able to change the color of the blade to whatever I wanted since Obi-Wan's blade is always blue...)
The hilt is HUGE and I have tiny hands so trying to demonstrate with one hand was a little awkward, haha. I think The Guardian is probably one of Ultrasaber's longest single blade hilts. (I had bought a shorter 32" blade since I'm only 5'5", but I just ordered the regular 36" blade instead to try to balance out the length of the hilt. Luckily the blade is the cheap part! When I take pictures w/ my costume I'll have the longer blade in.) The bending of the blade is definitely an optical illusion, it's flexible enough to duel with if you want to to without breaking, but it's not bendy. I started out with the Episode I soundfont (which I'll probably be leaving it on, considering what hilt it is...) and the second one is the Ancient Saber soundfont. (Also, it's obviously 7 soundfonts & a muted one, because I can count). You can also download a bunch of different soundfonts for the Obsidian v4 soundboard also to change it up. If you feel like hearing all of the effects for one of the other soundfonts let me know, haha, I'll be looking for basically any excuse to use this thing to help justify buying it! For my costume though I'll probably remove the blade and just wear it on my belt so I don't have to hold it for the entire day at the convention.
