We have a nuthatch that spends a good deal of its time bounding up and down on the tulip poplar right outside my window. I enjoy it, and it's incredibly cute and bouncy, but very distracting. Whenever I get really focused on something, it starts bouncing around in my peripheral vision, and my eyes are hardwired to notice and track the bounces. I'm
