Merlin 4x01
An amazing opening episode!! Had pretty much everything I wanted.
The Arthur/Merlin interaction was great! There were deep conversations, the usual teasing jokes, heart eyes, loads of gay!!! Perfect!! Oh and constant touching and sacrificing of course!
I also loved the knights. I admit I was a bit unsure about how having all the knights in it would play out and I was worried that it might take away from Merlin and Arthur but honestly, they're just so cute! I already ship about a dozen different knight combinations, haha! I just loved the little touches like Gwaine eating the apple and then being the last one to go off to find Merlin or Arthur. Or, Percival being all cute and helping the kids. Tom Hopper's voice does make me laugh for some reason though, it just sounds out of place among all the other knights. "Dat won' last us froo the nigh"
The only thing I'm not sure about is that they're going to use Old!Merlin as a scary, dangerous figure Emrys when to me he's more of a comedy character. I'm just not sure how seriously I could ever take Colin pulling funny faces in old man makeup!
But, overall, great episode! And Bradley and Colin were both amazing!!
