Weekend of Shows
So this past weekend was my big weekend of shows. . .
I'm not going to take up a lot of space doing this, so just click on the links if you care to read about each:
So I wasn't gonna go to this show, but Nick kicks ass and gave me a ticket for 10 bucks so I went. I got there super early and met up with Nick, Sasha, Jenny, Mikey, Julia, Dubey, and probably someone else that I'm forgetting. We all stood in line for a little bit and then Sasha and I took a bathroom run. It was a must. Wasn't it Sasha!?! So, seeing as Wetzel's is right by the bathroom, I got some food. It was all greasy though so I didn't eat much. While standing in line, the highlight had to have been when Nick got shit on by a bird and totally over-reacted about it and announced it to the entire line. Good times. After what seemed like ages, the line was finally let in. Since we were there way early (being part of the first 200 in line) we got awesome RBF trucker hats and a signed tour poster! OMG! HaHa Sasha and I went inside and downstairs to secure a space to dance during SL. After joking about defacing the trucker hat with SL stickers or something of the likes, we turn our heads and see a chick wearing one of the hats with an SL patch pinned to it. Oh the shame. HaHaHa Finally, SL went on. They really played a good set. And since we were on the side and taller than everyone, the boys saw us and made stupid faces the whole time. Vince even gave us high fives! LMFAO It really was fun though. I chilled outside during Lucky Boys Confusion after seeing one song and not being impressed at all. Catch 22 was good, but I don't really know any of their stuff, so I wondered in and out during their set. RxB went on next and that was fun. I love them, but wish they would play more of their older songs. I lost Sasha and Michele though. Did I mention that Michele went??? Yessss. I love her so much. It was great to get to spend some time with her. Then RBF went on and I danced my ass off. By the end of the night, I could barely move. At least I got a good workout. I stayed there for a while talking to Michele, Derek, Luis, Lisa, and whoever else was still there. I'm really glad I went to that show. I needed it. I stopped by Jack in the Box on the way home for some grub and then hit the hay so I could do it all over again the next night.
I'll try to make this summary a little less intense. Well, first off, I was late. I walked in and met up with Sasha during SLs first song. They basically played the same set, but backwards. Again, a good performance. RxB played a better set than the previous night I thought, and played more off of Progress than the night before. RBF played about the same set as the night before, and we joked around and screamed and danced the whole time (we = Frank and me). The highlights of the evening were hanging out with Frank, drunken Derek, talking to Jenny (red hair one), and also seeing Diana. Yes. Those were the highlights. Again, a really killer night and good workout. I stayed for a while after the show and went crazy with Frank. People of the world! HaHa Soooo great. I miss the Spice Girls. HaHaHaHa Got Jack in the Box again b/c that's all that is open at 2 AM around here. Luckily, they have more than one item on the menu that I'll eat...
I was offered a free ticket to night 3 at the HOB, but I declined to go to the show at Chain with Bemis. I wasn't really into any of the bands that played, but I still had a good time. Anna was randomly at the show, so I kicked it with her and we caught up a bit. It really had been ages since we spoke or saw one another. After the show, Bemis and I went to Denny's and talked for like 2 hours. It was a nice talk. He's just one of those people I can talk to about anything, and I hope he feels the same way in regards to me. A very good end to the weekend.
Monday night I went to a little kick-back at Bubba's for his 21st. Mandie and Jeff were there. I didn't stay that long b/c people left early. Not much to say about that. Nothing memorable really occured, but I still had a good time.
Big News
We're getting our house worked on and our bathrooms are getting torn up and re-done for the most part. They began work on Monday. The cool thing is that I got to pick everything out for mine/my brother's bathroom. So, I'm getting black and white checkered tiles in the shower and on the floor. It's gonna be skabulous. HaHa But really. I think it's gonna look quite spiffy when it's all finished. After this comes paint and new carpet. Then I can set things up in my room the way I want and unpack everything for good. Hopefully, after that, this place will start to feel more like home, and my life will feel more together. . .
