Week 7- Everyday Use

I believe Everyday Use has some great points. Material objects mean more if they are from someone they love. The quilt was handmade from Maggie and Dee’s grandmother. I think it makes sense to put the quilt to use and actually use it. Maggie would be incorporating her history and heritage into her everyday life. If she used the quilt instead of

Dee didn't deserve this blanket. Sure, Maggie wasn't intending to use it, but, lets be honest, they PROBABLY had other blankets/quilts. Why not keep the family heirloom safe, unused?

I think I am alot like Maggie. I am very shy and always willing to give my last or even my first to someone. I do not value material things for they will be here when we are gone.
