Aug 19, 2006 22:20

Hi Everyone,

Yeah, here's my first attempt at a trailer.  For those of you who have been following my vidding drama, I went back to my first, first attempt.  The second one I started I decided was even more 'viddy' than this one so I went back to finish it up proper.  I think it came out ok - more trailer like than I thought.  There were a few audio ( Read more... )

Thank you! :) Yeah, that piece is my favorite instrumental - I never get tired of hearing it and I thought it had the right amount of tension for a thriller movie. And thanks - the dialogue was the bane of this vid for me. I struggled the most on that.

And I say go for it - I'd love to see what you come up with for your AVP vid. :)

OMG Mel, that was frakking awesome! I'm gonna show my brother, he's gonna die! He's a huge fan of all the Alien & Predator movies (as I am), & I KNOW he's gonna love this. Very VERY well done (as always). I especially like the part where everything just stops, then you hear a scream before it continues. 2 thumbs up hon. :-D

And I too never get sick of that particular musical piece. I really should DL it.

Hee, hee! Thanks so much, Amber! :D I'm so glad you like it and I really hope your brother does too, lol. It was fun. Yeah, the break with the scream is one of my favorites too - when you have the volume maxed out - it'll chill you to your core, lol! Thanks again. :) Oh, and check your email. ;)

You're welcome. :D Indeed. When I first played it, I was kinda bummed b/c I thought the file was corrupted or it just stopped there or something crazy like that when I got to that part. Then all of a sudden *WHAM*. You know what I mean? I was pleasantly surprised. I think I've watched it 5 or 6 times now.

Checked my email & *squee* thanks hon! That was very sweet of you. **hug**

Finally able to catch up! I was so curious about this one for the longest.

First of all, great music choice. Works perfectly for the action/horror tone. You're becoming a real expert at use of movement, too, and I love how everything here was perfectly aligned with the beat without looking forced. It all just flowed really well.

It's fun doing a trailer, huh? I think the best part is coming up with the structure, how it opens, how it builds. You did really well on all of those fronts.

:D Brad, this is virtually instantaneous, lol!

Thanks so much, Brad! I'm glad you thought that the editing didn't looked forced - I was concerned about that. :) You know, trailers are fun! Yeah, the opening before the screech is what I struggled with the most, but it was fun trying to arrange it so that it properly told what I wanted. I think I'm going to attempt a couple more (not right now), but definitely see if it's something I can improve upon. I found a couple on the web made by fans and they're amazing - totally looks like professional work.
