Your writing is absolutely amazing. I have the attention span of a 2-year-old after a dozen cupcakes and I read the entire thing word-for-word, biting at my fingers as I read. Very detailed.... I really enjoyed reading it, I mean, as much as you can enjoy reading about someone in pain. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm very happy that you connected to the story, and I understand what you mean about "enjoying" the reading, even though it was about something painful. Thank you for reading and for commenting.

Well done.

But can I shoot the asshole at your insurance company who thought it'd be a good idea for a woman to go through a surgical abortion with no general anaesthetic?

I thought that same thing - seems like torture and just doing it so save a buck? Shame on them.
Is your name a play on "Saxamophone" by one Homer J Simpson?

Yeah :D

Hmm, I didn't think it was saving a buck when I read it, so much as "encouraging women to stop using abortion as birth control", the conservatives' typical argument against choice. They're idiots, because A) being pregnant sucks, B) women aren't emotionless robots, and abortion sucks too!

I'm surprised about the anaesthesia. I had a surgical abortion and all I got was Aleve, and that I had to go out and buy myself. I wonder if different states have different requirements or whatever or what the deal is.

^ What a dick. (Pardon the French, gentle reader)

You did what you felt was right for you, because it was your life. A fetus is a fetus, but you're a human being with the right to make your own decision. Despite the opinions of others.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's very brave of you.

Entirely out of the blue, I came across this entry that you have written and I must be honest, I was close to tears from reading it. This was one of the most powerful pieces of writing I have ever read. Blunt, honest and real. Thank you.

I have to say though.. I plan to have children in the future and this has just encouraged me to be even MORE careful about sex then I already am (and I definitely am). I do not want to have to go through any emotional turmoil like you had to.
