Hi there! This is largely babbling to myself, but if you're really interested in what I ship, feel free to keep reading.
If I ever get the confidence to do ship manifestos, these are the sort of pairings that I might do them for.
As a general rule, I'm a femslasher. So if you've got ladies loving ladies, I'll be there. I'm also a polyshipper, both in the sense that I like poly pairings and in the sense that I will ship multiple things equally. So generally speaking, I'm pretty easy to please.
(For my NoTPs, of which there are remarkably few, skip to the end of the post.)
However, I do have particular preferences for the following:
Atlantis: The Lost Empire - Kida Nedakh/Milo Thatch. The closest thing that I have to an OTP. Basically, if both of them are in the story, I want them to be together in it. I'll read (and write!) stuff pairing them with other people, but only if the other person is not present.
Frozen - Elsa/Female Character. I know I'm not the only one out there in this boat, but I read Elsa as being like 5.999 on the Kinsey Scale. (That exception? Keep reading.) If there's Elsa femslash out there, I'll probably have a go at reading it.
Frozen/Wreck-It Ralph - Tamora Calhoun/Elsa. I place full blame on ashleybenlove for her marvellous prompts making me shipped these two messed-up, PTSD-suffering badasses together. So that happened.
Frozen/Rise of the Guardians: - Elsa/Jack Frost. So, this is the exception I was talking about, and even then I'm kind of picky about how it's done. But I've found fics that draw out the protectiveness in them, their role as older siblings, their strong desire for families, and it can work so well for me.
Monsters Inc., Monsters University - Randall/Sulley. Remember how I said I was mostly a femslasher? This is like my one major slash ship. I like my Randall damaged and assholeish, and Sulley with his own issues but just a hell of a lot better at dealing with them.
Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent - Aurora/Maleficent. I'll admit that I feel it more strongly in Maleficent, but I'm there in Sleeping Beauty as well. I've seen episodes of The L Word that had less lesbian subtext.
Sleeping Beauty - Queen Leah/Maleficent. Now, this one I only feel in the animated version, but there seems to be some story there between Leah and Maleficent and damn, if I didn't wish that I knew what it was.
ASOAIF/Game of Thrones - Sansa Stark/Margaery Tyrell. I generally ship Sansa more with female characters than male, but this is the one pairing I do adore above all others.
ASOIAF/Game of Thrones - Jaime Lannister/Brienne of Tarth. And then this happened as well. Only from the later parts of the story, though, as he is undergoing his 'redemption arc' (in GRRM's own words)
Grimm - Polyfic, especially of the Hank/Nick/Juliet/Rosalee/Monroe variety, and so help me it is basically impossible to find. Maybe the show is just being good enough at providing it, I don't know.
How to Train Your Dragon - Astrid/Hiccup. Similar to Kida/Milo I mentioned above, I can't help shipping these guys if they're in the story together. They just work so organically for me that I adore them to pieces.
- Gobber/Stoick, Stoick/Valka and Gobber/Stoick/Valka. After the first film and TV show, I couldn't very well unship Gobber/Stoick, but as soon as Valka entered the picture I was sold on Stoick/Valka as well. So naturally the best way to handle this was to polyship them.
Merlin (BBC) - Morgana/Female Character. Another character that I read as basically lesbian.
The Silmarillion etc. - Feanor/Galadriel. You know that ship you almost don't want to admit to? This is mine. Twisted, wrong, obsessive relationship. Bring it on.
The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon/Carol Peletier. I keep thinking that I've stopped caring about this show, and then these two happen and I'm back watching again. *throws hands in the air* I don't even know.
Currently, this number exactly two. So... there's that.
Anna/Elsa, be it in Frozen or OUAT, when they are not related. I can't stress that last bit enough. Unfortunately, for me it can't be a throwaway line that they aren't related either; they need to have the backstory, the establishment that they have had separate lives. I read them so clearly as sisters that I just can't ship the incest side.
Belle/Rumplestiltskin | Mr. Gold on OUAT. This one I have less explanation behind. I just get an instant backbutton.
