Don't ask where this came from. I think I've just been in the mood to cry lately. "Who knows where thoughts come from, they just appear."

5. The Office - The Job - Beach Games flashback
Jim: How are your feet?
Pam: Medium rare. Thanks. [they laugh]
Jim: The real reason that I went to Stamford... was because... I wanted to be... not here.
Pam: I know.
Jim: And even though... I came back, I just, I feel like I've never really... come back.
Pam: Well, I wish you would.
The first time they're real THE WHOLE SEASON. Simple. Short. To the point. And it changes everything.
4. Sports Night - The Apology - Dan's apology
I have a younger brother named Sam. Sam's a genius. I mean, literally. As a kid, he tested off the charts. The first computer I ever had, he built from a kit he bought with money he earned tutoring other kids in math. He's energetic and articulate, curious and funny. A great source of pride to our parents. And there's no doubt that he'd be living a great life right now, except for that he's dead. Because when you're fourteen years old, all you ever really wanna be when you grow up is your sixteen-year-old brother. And in my case, that meant smoking a lot of dope. The day I went off to college was the day that Sam got his driver's license. And he celebrated by taking a drive with some of his friends. Drunk and high as a paper kite. He never saw the red light that he ran. And he probably never saw the eighteen-wheel truck that put him into the side of a brick bank, either.
That was eleven years ago tonight. And I just wanted to say... I'm sorry, Sam. You deserved better in my hands. And I apologize.
This is the SECOND EPISODE OF THE SERIES, PEOPLE. This show just fucking brings it, every episode. If you haven't watched it, buy the new DVDs when they come out. SERIOUSLY.

I honestly have no excuse for this. I think 'Crimson and Clover' does funny things to my brain. But LOOK AT POOR LOGAN! HE IS DRINKING CHAMPAGNE DIRECTLY FROM THE BOTTLE! ...I really have no excuse for this.
2. ER - All in the Family - Carter and Lucy stabbed (by the AV guy, no less)
If you watch this and don't completely lose it when Carter looks across the floor at her and it takes all he has just to say "Lucy", then you have NO SOUL.

This is the reason why I will never take the Emmys that seriously. THIS MAN DID NOT WIN AN EMMY FOR THIS.
If you haven't heard me/read something in which I reference this scene, you do not know me very well. One of the best moments on television, ever.
Well, I should have been in bed like, an hour ago, but I wanted to finish this. ANYWHO. Other people should do this. Or something like this. BRING BACK TOP FIVES. Ahem. Bed time!
