Fest update pt1
So...
let me just say..this was the weekend I was ready for the end of before it began!
Saturday
So, saturday found me arriving late for a reason I don't care to go into at the moment.
But I would've gotten there and been in costume and at opening gate ready and raring to go...
however, as I was grabbing costuming bits (that I had...I did have to swing by various places at fest to pick up others)...my keys unknowingly fell into my bin...I closed the trunk not thinking twice.
now, since living in the city...and having my car broken into...out of habit I lock my doors whenever I get out of the car..
anyone see where this is going?
yep. those keys were in the bin...in my trunk...in my now locked car...
fuck.
after much swearing, I head to Kat's booth...explaing what's happened, where we first try picking the lock...no luck. call a locksmith. locksmith doesn't arrive until 10...fuck. locksmith also charges me $150. double fuck.
yep. so I go back, change..and decide to be entertaining to take my mind off the money I just had to pull out of my ass.
Well, success! I had a good time entertaining with marielouise00! Headed to Vil.
The show is definitely alot tighter. rock on!
However, the audience really didn't seem to like the female players. wtf?
I did the world's greatest pratfall after the show as witnessed by ethel and patchat (who also made a very crude but funny joke at my expense).
I tried wondering more.. more wet.
went to Kat's booth to relax, decided to try again.
realized I was way too cold and opted to head out.
I hung out with a friend of mine from AT&T for most of the night as I was offered heat, shower and booze. life is good.
made it back to my mum's place later to sleep.

Wound up going pretty late due to STILL being fucking cold. decided to take care of myself and make sure I was able to perform. Got out to site.
no, I wasn't at vil today. I was not up to it and would've spent most of my time shivering on stage.
again...tried to entertain....felt like crap.
hung out at the gaurd camp for awhile keeping warm and socializing...then was told "we closed down for the day...go home...stay dry"
and here I am.
All in all, not the best start. I did meet some cool people this weekend so that's a positive thing :)
I'm off to shower, drink tea and sleep...later
