fest update pt 2
mmm...I love tea...
This week promises to be busy as always...
Saturday
got there more on time. didn't lock my keys in the car. score!
I was majorly tired tho...I was out late the night before, but what can ya' do?
had a blast at court dance as always. didn't vilify.
took off running after duckie, that guy is awesome! damn it's tiring running in hoops!
Saturday night was alot of fun, dramberries are always a highlight of the fest season.
and hookahs...yum. Lots of good times socializing and singing very risque Beatles songs with marielouise00. I learned a valuable lesson Saturday night; if you want to sell your art...just wear it. I wore a shirt I made at work...got a TON of compliments on it! even got some shirt orders from it. rock!
got to snuggle with my puppy, which always makes me happy.
Sunday
Holy shit! I got to cast call on time!
wandered in the morning, my knee was really bothering me on Sunday...like I almost went home, but opted to tough it out. I'm glad I did! despite having to sit down alot more then I would like to in a day...it was a fun day. a few mishaps...such as nearly going down from the heat...I'm still adjusting to the new costume. which have I mentioned how kick ass it is? cuz if not, my costume this year kicks copious amounts of ass! I doped myself up on alot of IB profen for the afternoon, pushed thru parade...and was doing ok the rest of the afternoon. I did my first stint at the stocks and loved it! fun people! and I got my fill of insulting (I didn't vilify this weekend, which happens, I'll play again). Had a fun time teaching dramatekcv how to be classy!
made some very mean comments to a pre-teen boy who was giving manna_panna and I very dirty looks at closing gate...
I do have one gripe about the closing gate...it's kinda' dull. don't get me wrong; I love the people I'm around...they're some of the funniest people I know...but damn...it gets boring after awhile. I'm really starting to miss closing gate show...there was some shining moments in that show. /end rant.
excited for the upcomming weekend...I was requested to do my rose bit (the one where I sing...I haven't sung that song in a year, so I'm brushing up on the lyrics and such.), I have a few more ideas for this weekend as well.
