My brother's lover
Yunho/Jaejoong, Changmin/Jaejoong
PG-13/NC-17;
When Yunho, an ardent 23 year-old photographer, falls in love with someone for the first time. Unfortunately, that someone happens to be his younger brother's lover.
3 months passed and now it was 3 days before Changmin's high school graduation. Yunho just came back from Paris a week ago. The only belongings Yunho brought on his trip were one small suit case, his credit card, a personal bag, and his old camera. Considering that he was going to say in Paris for 2 whole months, Yunho packed really lightly. He decided that he could just go shopping for new clothes there in the city of love. Why did he bring his old camera? My, Yunho had quite a few snapshots of Jaejoong in there. Don't get any wrong ideas, though. He did not masturbate with those pictures, he simply brought them because seeing Jaejoong's beautiful face made him genuinely happy. Gazing at his alluring face was just like looking at the newly risen sun from a distance. With all of Yunho's analogies, one would think that he was poetic or something.
Yunho had gone to Paris with three other colleagues, Siwon, his jock-like best friend, Yixing, a Chinese man of very little words, and Jessica, his same-last-name buddy. Their task was to snap pictures of this well-known Korean model for her newest photobook entitled "Seulgi in Paris" (really vague).
Everyone knew how Ms. Bae Seulgi had the hots for Jung Yunho. She would blatantly flirt in between photoshoots. Try and seduce him as he may, he wasn't interested. Yunho had been unfeeling for all of the years of his life. He never found someone that would "click" with him. No one that he genuinely cared for (except for his family). He always thought of "romance" as a complete waste of time. Oh the irony of life. Probably god's punishment for Yunho's condition of "not loving" was falling for the wrong person.
Oh how stressful the trip was. He had to constantly escape Seulgi's "attacks". Ha! Yunho even recalled this one night. It was the first weekend of their stay in Paris. He stayed in a luxurious hotel and was just enjoying all of the things the room offered (the king-sized bed with satin bed sheets was his most favorite of all). So there he was, laying on the extremely comfortable bed, minding his own business, when his room door burst open revealing a half-naked Seulgi, ready to pounce.
(flashback)
"Oh satin bed sheets. Here comes papa!" Yunho muttered dumbly to himself before he jumped face first on the bed. He turned around and spread his arms and legs out, as if he were going to start making a snow angel (in bed). He just laid there and praising the heavens for giving him the opportunity to be able to lie down on this cozy bed while other people in the world were homeless and lived in boxes. Yunho was deeply grateful. He started to feel sleep taking him in when....
BAM!
Yunho's eyes popped open right away when he heard the noise. 'Oh my god. Am I going to be kidnapped? Is this the price for resting on this luxurious bed?'
He heard heels clacking on the floor until the scoundrel came into view. Yunho was scared for life.
There stood Bae Seulgi wearing only her bra and underwear and stilettos. "Oppa~" She said before running to the bed and diving in. She was not there in time to capture Yunho since he hurriedly got up.
"Seulgi-sshi.... what the hell are you doing?" Yunho asked hysterically, slowly backing away.
"Aww oppa~ aren't you happy to see me though? I know how stressful it is to be away from home for a long time so I'm here to be your stress reliever." She winked suggestively.
"W-what? S-seulgi-sshi, that's crazy. Please get out." Yunho stammered, still shocked to hear something so....stupid.
"Yunho Oppa. Don't you like my outfit, though? I bought it just for you." She got up from the bed then started running after Yunho. Of course, on instinct, Yunho started sprinting towards the door to escape. Before leaving, he grabbed his old camera and dashed in the direction of the elevator. He felt something incredibly sharp bonk on his head which caused him to fall forward thus dropping his old camera in the process. Fortunately, it did not break on impact, it just got powered on. Seulgi picked up the camera and saw the image of Jaejoong. "Is this your girlfriend?" she scoffed harshly. Seulgi straddled the poor defenseless man. He didn't make an attempt to escape because she has his precious camera with images of Jaejoong, scared that she would destroy it.
(end of flashback)
In the end, it was Yixing who saved him. Luckily he was nearby since he was going to visit a friend, Luhan, who was also on Yunho's floor.
Yunho groaned. That was probably one of the worst things that happened to him in his life so far. Of course, his unrequited love is a lot worse since it's actually heartbreaking, but that incident made him scared for life.
Yunho really missed Jaejoong. The last time he saw the pretty boy was three months ago a couple days after Jaejoong came to meet their parents. It was Changmin's birthday party which was celebrated in some high-class club downtown. Yunho got up from his bed and decided to go out since he needed some fresh air. So far, this day had been very uneventful. Changmin was out hanging out with his friends, their parents were still in Bora Bora for a vacation. He had no one in particular to call since his three closest friends were sent to Japan to do some mini-photoshoot or something like that. When Yunho left their house, he was surprised to see that it was almost dark out already. Wow, time flies.
Yunho found himself going to a cafe where he knew Jaejoong worked, just never had the chance to visit. The little bells on top of the door were tinkling as he entered. He was disappointed to see that Jaejoong was not in the counter, taking orders. Yunho shrugged and decided that he could use a cup of tea anyways.
After Yunho was done with his beverage, he went to the cafe's restroom. The moment he opened the door to the men's restroom, he saw Jaejoong hunched over the sink....crying. Seeing that angel in tears made Yunho's heart start to hurt. Like he could not breathe. Yunho placed his right hand on top of his heart and squeezed it, hoping that the pain would go away.
Jaejoong was sobbing so hard and also it seemed like he was having a trouble to breathe. He seemed to have noticed Yunho's silhouette since he turned around and stared at him. His eyes, his beautiful eyes, showed so much pain Yunho could not even comprehend.
"Jaejoong..." Yunho started, taking a step closer to the crying angel.
Jaejoong immediately started wiping his tears away desperately, as if wanting to hide his tears from the older male. "H-hey Yunho. What's up?" His weak voice croaked out. He bent down to wash his face with water and got a paper towel to dry his face up. His eyes were still incredibly blood-shot. The water had no effect at all in the despair clouding his beautiful doe eyes. "Coincidence seeing you here, huh?"
Yunho could not take it anymore. Quickly, he dashed in front of the slight frame and wrapped his arms around him. He started rubbing his back, to comfort him, soothe him. Hoping that he would feel better. "Tell me what's wrong, Jaejoong." Yunho muttered from Jaejoong's neck in which he buried his face in.
Jaejoong started crying again, Yunho knew. He could feel the moisture building up on his shirt.
It was in that bathroom that Jaejoong willed himself to cry his eyes out in front of someone. He's never done it before, always wanting to hide his true feelings, hide everything since he always thought that no one would care. For the first time in his life, someone aside from his parents showed genuine concern. How did he know? It was the look in Yunho's hazel orbs. It reminded him of his parents.
▬
After Jaejoong had finally calmed down, they were now both sitting in one of the chairs in the cafe. It was 8pm and the cafe was closed already. They were both silent, just listening to the sounds of the air conditioner and their coffee mugs clacking on the cafe table would suffice. Yunho glanced up and saw Jaejoong's serene face as he brought the mug to his lips. Yunho really wanted to touch his face and see if his milky skin was as soft as it looked.
"M-my parents... they just passed away." Jaejoong whispered.
Yunho banged his fist on the table and exclaimed, "WHAT?"
Jaejoong jerked away. At first he looked quite frightened with Yunho's random explosion. Yunho did not want to see that look of uneasiness on his face and stood up and gave him another tight, reassuring hug. In that hug, the handsome man wanted to convey that Jaejoong could trust him and tell him anything.
Jaejoong closed his eyes before speaking again. "It was about two months ago. They were just going out for to the pharmacist to get some pills since I was extremely ill that day. Pneumonia. Then the next thing I know, I get a visit from a cop saying that my parents have been severely injured..." Jaejoong took a deep breath then continued, "It was another clan. Papa's enemies got to them. They're not even supposed to be going out without body guards. It's just our guards were on a break..." The pretty yet frail boy stopped for a moment. Yunho thought he would stop talking about it and not go on. "They were brought to the ICU right away. The doctor told me that my parents' conditions were indeed life threatening." Yunho started soothing Jaejoong's back once more. "A few hours later, they were in a coma. So for two whole months they were in that state until my grandparents came into town. They said that hospital fees were severely damaging our bank accounts." Jaejoong scoffed angrily albeit weakly, "For weeks, they tried to persuade the rest of my family members that it was time for them to go. Better dead than being a vegetable, they said and they won. They just turned off the life support machine today." Jaejoong buried his face on the crook of Yunho's neck, feeling safe and protected in that position for some reason.
▬
Days passed and it was finally Changmin and Jaejoong's graduation date. Changmin made sure that he looked fine before the whole family left for the graduation ceremony.
After all of the students received their diplomas, Yunho went to go find Changmin or Jaejoong. He noticed Changmin was with his group of friends...but not with Jaejoong. Instead, Changmin was scowling at something or someone. Yunho turned his head to follow his glare and saw that it was Jaejoong! 'Wait. What?'
Jaejoong was with his own group of friends. They seemed to be the popular crowd since all of the jock type of people were all lingering with them.
Yunho marched up to Changmin and grabbed his graduation gown to bring him to a more secluded area.
"Is there something wrong?" Yunho growled at his little brother.
"What the fuck are you talking about? And why the hell did you bring me here? The question should be what's wrong with YOU?" Changmin shouted back.
"Jung Changmin, your boyfriend just lost his damn parents and this is how you treat him?"
Changmin rolled his eyes. "I don't see why that's my problem. He told me not to mind him, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Anyways. Why should I care for that lying, manipulative, slut slash cheater?"
"Huh?" Yunho asked irritably. He was very tempted to punch his brother right now.
"He's cheating on me and using this pity card into his advantage." Changmin grumbled. Then pointed at someone with curly hair, "See him? His name is Park Yoochun. I caught them in the act! Kissing each other and shit" Changmin spat.
Yunho could not reply to this. In fact, Jaejoong did never mention Changmin while they were together in the cafe three days ago. And now that he thinks about it, Changmin hasn't been seeing Jaejoong for a while now. Yunho just turned away and went in Jaejoong's crowd's direction.
"YAH! Yunho! Are you just going to ignore me?" He heard Changmin call after him.
Yunho approached the crowd and was met with flirty glances of the females and competitive glares from the other males. Jaejoong was currently holding hands with the "Yoochun" character. "J-Jaejoong. Can we talk for a minute." He said from behind him.
Jaejoong looked surprised to see that he approached their group and nodded, following the tall man. He already had a hunch as to what they were going to talk about.
"Jaejoong... is it true that you cheated on my brother?" Yunho softly asked.
Jaejoong bit his plump lips and Yunho willed his eyes to focus on his face, not only his lips.
"No." He said. "But I'd be lying if I said it weren't entirely incorrect. Look, I'm sorry. I'm just really trying to distance myself away from Changmin right now. I don't think he even loves me at all."
Yunho was shocked to hear this. Last time he checked, Changmin was extremely crazy for Jae. Well, once again, what should he know? He's been in Paris for two months so he's missed quite a lot.
"I tell him about my parents, thinking that I can trust him, but in the end, he starts ignoring the issue entirely. I admit. I just want someone to comfort me... but he can't even do just that for me?" Jaejoong's big eyes were starting to brim with tears. "So instead, I chose to rely on my best friend. He seemed to care for me a lot more. With Changmin... there's just nothing now. Nothing."
Yunho was so lost. So many things were conflicting Jaejoong's heart. He had to thank some deity that he hasn't fallen into depression yet. Jaejoong is so strong. Out of the blue, Yunho went in for a hug, totally forgetting where he was. Jaejoong did not object, instead he dug his nails on the back of Yunho's black polo.
It all happened so fast that Yunho could barely comprehend what just happened. One moment he was encased in the arms of the man he loved, then the next he was harshly ripped away and punched on the jaw which caused him to fall on the floor. Many people gathered around to see what drama was unfolding. Once Yunho looked up, he saw it was his brother. Before he could tell him to stop, Changmin lunged on him and continued throwing punches here and there.
"CHANGMIN! STOP!" Jaejoong screamed, trying to pull him away from Yunho.
"STUPID. BROTHER. WHY. MUST. YOU. ALWAYS. COVET. WHAT. IS. MINE?" With each word came one punch that Yunho dodged.
"Min! Stop it! Get off o' me!" Yunho struggled with trying to dodge every hit.
Finally, Jaejoong was able to detach Changmin from his brother and went in front of Yunho, defending him.
"So what? You're defending him now? Kim Jaejoong, why must you hurt me so?" Changmin pounded his fist on his chest to prove his point.
"I don't know what you're even talking about, Changmin. Last time I checked, wasn't it the other way around? Where were you when I needed you, Min? 'Cause now that I recall it, you were out elsewhere with no concern at all what-so-ever."
Changmin could not answer. He could only stare painfully at how Jaejoong stood in front of Yunho, sublimely meaning that he was here to protect him. Yes, Changmin admits that he has been a horrible boyfriend lately. He just doesn't know how to deal with it all what with Jaejoong's family tragedy and his overly possessive self. Without a word, he grabbed his lover's arm and dragged him to his car. They need to have a talk.
Yunho could only stare bewilderedly.
What the hell...?
▬
Dinner was just awkward. Changmin invited Jaejoong over and it looks like they really mended their relationship with each other. Changmin was happily spoon-feeding Jaejoong. It seemed as like how it was 3 months ago, back when they seemed so in-love with each other. Yunho should be happy for them, really. But some evil part inside him was screaming out how it would be so much better if they both just broke up. Yunho forcefully stabbed his salad.
"Yunho! Careful! Be more gentle." Mrs. Jung said.
"Sorry."
Obviously, Mr. and Mrs. Jung were happy that they did not break up. They were too fond with Jaejoong. During those months while Yunho was in Paris, Jaejoong would always come and cook delicious meals for them. He'd even serenade them (they have a white grand piano in the living room). He'd be singing with his beautiful voice while playing the piano.
"Say aaah~" Changmin crooned.
Okay. That's it. "Would you please stop, Min. Some people are actually trying to eat here." Yunho was beyond irritated now.
"Go eat somewhere else then."
"Why don't you two go eat somewhere else? Why are you guys even here? Shouldn't you guys be out celebrating with friends and stuff."
"Would you stop being such a sour bastard and-"
"CHANGMIN. YOUR LANGUAGE!" Mrs. Jung said angrily. Their parents were wondering what the problem here was. Why was their passive Yunho so agitated with Changmin?
Yunho stood up from his chair. "I'm leaving. I can't stand you."
"Good! Go calm the fuck down, okay?"
"CHANGMIN. ONE MORE BAD WORD FROM YOU AND I'LL-"
"It's all his fault, mom!" Changmin pointed at Yunho. "Go find a girlfriend now, why don't you."
"How is that even related with anything?" Yunho growled.
"You obviously need to get laid and stop trying to steal my boyfriend."
"I'm not stealing your boyfriend, for heaven's sake, Changmin!"
"DO NOT USE THE WORD 'HEAVEN' IN VAIN!" Mrs. Jung screamed.
"Yes you are"
"No I'm not!"
"C-Changmin, stop it..."
Infuriated, Changmin chose to storm out, himself, and find solace in his bedroom.
▬
Yunho decided that he could not go upstairs in fear of world war III erupting, so he chose to stay in the backyard and sit on the pool edge while dipping his feet in the cold pool water. He couldn't believe how easily his relationship with his brother has crumbled, all in the amount of a few hours. Yunho's principle in life is and always will be "family first" yet why was Jaejoong causing him to hate his own brother? Someone who's not even in his family.
Oh yeah. That's right. It's because of this stupid feeling called love. He cared too much for Jaejoong. To Yunho, it just doesn't seem like Changmin is the right person for him. Fine, maybe in the first month of their relationship, the whole world was a bed or roses but after that, the things that matter the most are not there. Does Changmin really love Jaejoong? Does Jaejoong even love Changmin? Yunho hated himself for even thinking of this.
From behind him, Yunho heard the sliding door open and close then the light footsteps of the man he yearned for.
"Hey Yunho." Jaejoong said as he sat down beside Yunho, also dipping his feet in the pool.
Yunho gave a little wave before facing back to the pool, as if the chlorinated water can provide him answers to his life questions.
"Yunho.... can I tell you something? A secret?" Jaejoong whispered. He could barely be heard from the sounds of the night. After Yunho nodded, Jaejoong said, "Sometimes I think me and Changmin only have a physical relationship."
Yunho choked on air when he heard this. So is Jaejoong implying that they only have sex but nothing romantic going on. As Yunho's mind diverted to that subject, an image of a moaning and writhing Jaejoong suddenly popped in his head. 'Oh god, I'm going to have a nosebleed.'
"I mean. I really like Changmin but sometimes I can't help dismiss this feeling of void." Jaejoong was still whispering, probably scared that someone else might hear their conversation. "Also, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Am I even right for your brother? Answer me honestly, Yunho."
'No. you're not. But do you know who is right for you? I am... "You're not doing anything wrong." Yunho chose to not answer the latter. "You're amazing, funny, smart, and beautiful. You embody everything Changmin looks for in a... lover." Yunho answered painfully yet very truthfully.
Yunho's compliment rendered Jaejoong speechless for a while. Jaejoong was used to being praised time and time again, but why was it so different when Yunho spoke the very words other people have said to him also? "You really think so?"
"I absolutely know so." The taller of the two replied determinedly.
Jaejoong smiled then glanced down at the water and watched as both of their feet swayed all about, sometimes briefly grazing on each other.
Finally having confidence in himself, the photographer grabbed Jaejoong's hand and intertwined their fingers together. Jaejoong stared at their interlocked hands pondering how perfectly his hand fit in Yunho's larger ones. Slowly, he lifted his gaze to Yunho's pools of chocolate, finding himself lost in them. They had no idea what inclined them to do it but for some reason, some gravitational force made them inch closer to each other. Inhaling each other's breath, close enough to see the irises of each other's eyes...
Then their lips met. They kissed languidly. It didn't need to be abrasive to convey the passion that was going on between them. Yunho knew very well that he should not be doing this. This was his brother's lover for god's sake! Even though their relationship seemed a bit faulty, this was still wrong. All thoughts were effaced from his mind however once their lips met; when he delved on the soft lips. Yunho gently lay his hands on Jaejoong's slim waist, bringing him closer to deepen the kiss. Jaejoong placed his arms around Yunho's neck. He felt Yunho's smooth tongue on his lips asking for entrance into his cavern. Willingly, he opened his mouth and allowed his tongue to explore. Jaejoong moaned softly. Yunho was such a great kisser. Yunho was just thinking the exact same thought about Jaejoong. Yunho's tongue started playing with Jaejoong's as the kiss became more and more intense. Jaejoong's grip around Yunho's neck was becoming tighter, trying to make them impossibly closer to each other. After a few more moments of their intimate kiss, they separated from each other. Yunho brought one of his hands that was laying on Jaejoong's waist and caressed his soft cheek. All the while, their eyes have not stopped their connection. Jaejoong smiled angelically and gave one final kiss on Yunho's left before removing his feet from the pool water and standing up.
Litte did they know that Changmin watched the whole thing... He was now on his way back to his room to contemplate and find out just what he should do about this.
→ A/n: sorry for randomly rambling in this part. So as you can see, I decided to make this into a threeshot. I fail.
EDIT: Omg. I reread this and just realized how many embarrassing errors I had in here D:
