Second Time Around
Wooh.
I seriously love updating this.
I just woke up and I'm sitting by the computer with a Berry-Cherry Vitamin Water, with the window open, and the smells of 'after it rains' coming through the window with a nice cool breeze.
So yesterday, I decided to take one of my friends out for lunch. Of course buying for her. We went to Applebees because they have this '2-for-$20" thing and we both decided to get steaks. Well one of my really good friends from Middle School (8th grade, 12-13 years old then) works there, and she's back from college.
Well... that particular friend talked to me for a bit, sat down, even had a french fry - all of which I did not mind. But the friend that I was taking out got really ticked off and it's so frustrating because the friend I took out is the type that when it comes right down to it, thrives in drama - even creating her own. I told her that we just hadn't seen each other in awhile but she was still...offended I guess?
My dorm hasn't had internet since LAST Thursday, and it's really driving me nuts. I pay for there to be internet there, and with it being summer, my school only has it that you can get internet in the classrooms, well most are shut because it's -summer-. I've had to drive home every day. I told my Dorm Supervisor on Monday, and there has been nothing done about it. My class started Monday, and my stuff is due on Saturday - granted, I have plenty of time still, but it's the point of wasting gas money, and having the inconvenience, where the inconvenience shouldn't exist. I have another class where I NEED to get on the internet so much. I work for a Webzine (online magazine) and I have to update it constantly.
I want to say something about that friend I took out to lunch again. I just thought of something. I'm the type of person that is always going to listen before talking about themselves. I'm truly a relator. She has(d) so much going for her it's not even funny. We were in the same program at my school, and she is an incredible traditional artist. I say traditional, even though some say it's the incorrect word, but I think it fits. Where I am talented at computer graphics, and I was getting kind of good at toning in 'traditional' art, she is amazing at everything - drawing, painting, etc. Well she decided to enlist in the army. Since then she's been on a destructive path, and there is nothing you can say to stop her. This past weekend she got a speeding ticket of 400 dollars, she had unprotected sex (had to buy a pill to basically terminate any chances of the pregnancy), and on the 4th of July she was caught with a beer by the cops. She's underage. I can't put too much emphasis on trying to help her, because I have my own life, and honestly - she wouldn't take my help. She thinks she's fine, but really, if she keeps this up I'm not sure HOW she is going to handle the army. Her excuse for joining was that she 'didn't want the same thing to do everyday, she wanted something new, something meaningful'. Well not to contradict her or anything, but joining the army, wouldn't she be doing something the same almost everyday, for long periods of time?

I can't believe the role of rpging I've been doing lately. It's shocking almost. But I'm really glad I'm out of the rut I was in. Ideas are constantly flowing, words have never sounded better, and the excitement has never been this exciting. Ahh HK!
Everyone who knows me knows there are two female pop stars that I really love. Well one is a band, the other is a solo artist. Tatu and Lady Gaga. I actually love the effects they use on their voices, but of course I love their natural stuff. It's a demo, a leaked demo, but I suggest all of you listen to "Second Time Around" by Lady Gaga. I really hope that Yulia Volkova and Lady Gaga -do- do that collaboration they were talking about doing. Between Lena and Yulia, in Tatu, Yulia had the most voice alterations as far as the techno stuff went and I'm just going to go out on a whim and say her voice was fucking orgasmic. Even without the effects I still believe that. In the Tatu fandom, Yulia gets a lot of hate, but honestly I love everything about her. If she was in the US, in my state, I would seriously stalk her! Lol. Random.
Another song I really recommend, simply because now I have to listen to it everytime I drive is - Strong Baby, by Big Bang. I wish there was more GD in it, maybe some Tae as well, but it's really really really really good. Crack crack crack crack!
Anyway..
