Stars shining bright above you, night breezes seem to whisper I love you

So I might have just kind of sorta signed up for lotsbigbang.

I DON'T KNOW WHY I THINK I WILL HAVE TIME TO DO THIS.

I just know that I really want to write some Legend of the Seeker fan fiction, and especially something epic and long and... oh, man, I'm not good at epic and long. I'm very good at writing short stories because I can end it in one go. But my ( Read more... )

Hahahaha, I JUST, as in, 10 minutes ago complained about the exact same thing to someone else. I hate it when one member of a love triangle turns out to be "bad," so it doesn't end up being much of a choice at all. Maybe that's why, despite all the issues with the Twilight series, I admire Eclipse so much. Of course, Breaking Dawn kinda took the choice away, with the whole imprinting thing, but I loved that Bella made a real, genuine choice between two guys she loved and who loved her ( ... )

Yes, as strange as it is, the Twilight series actually does have a good love triangle. Although, you know, there's always the forever love thing between Edward and Bella so no matter how good Bella/Jacob was portrayed, you know they will never end up together in the end. It just had this decisive feel from the start ( ... )

Yep. That's why Jacob/Bella was always a hard ship for me to see. I mean, I saw the appeal, but it always seemed so clear to me it was never going to happen. *shrug* Not that I was exactly a Bella/Edward shipper, but I guess I'm just always a canon girl.

Yeah, I mean, I'm no huge Gale/Katniss shipper (hard to be when, as you said, we know Peeta so much better), but, for now, I'm rooting for them or no one because it would just make me uncomfortable if Katniss chose Peeta at this point. That could change with the last one, of course but, for now, I think it's one of those things that might even ruin the whole series for me, since it wouldn't make sense.

I have a novel I'm sort of working one and my problem is I've actually grown more interested in the supporting characters, lol! Have you read much epic fantasy? That's kind of a random question, but they tend to have a lot of minor characters/side plots, so I think reading them kind of helps me open up my worlds.

I shipped Jacob/Bella. Even though I knew it was impossible. I like to root for the underdog sometimes...

I don't think I read much epic fantasy. I tried reading LotR - the first book - and it was a big struggle trying to finish it. But HP also has a big universe with tons of characters, so I get that. It's just generally easier to write a big world if you're writing fantasy because you basically have to create your own universe.

YAY!!! I'm soooo excited you're doing BigBang!! We need more LOTS fic out there. And I'm all excited to be thinking of your prompt. Lemme know if you want something angsty or fluffy and what pairing, or if you just want me to completely surprise you with a prompt.

And you can definitely do it. I think people even sign up to be our cheerleaders and stuff. :)

LotS fic is entirely new territory for me, reading and writing wise. XD But yeah, apparently I do drastic things for this fandom. It makes me want to try crazy things. I already told you what I'd like in the other comment thread in your journal, let's hope we can come up with something good :D

Cheerleaders would be awesome! \o/

Ooo, good luck with your Big Bang! I'm so excited to read all of them, I don't have the time/discipline to write one myself. :D

Thanks! I'm excited to see what everyone else came up with too. Many of the plot summaries sound intriguing.

OMG LOTS BIGBANG! I'm waiting for the artist sign ups, maybe they're up! *checks later*

Oh man, although I'm pretty much spoiled about the movie (Leap Year), I'm 100% with you. It gets even harder for me if two of those characters are married and the spouse turns out to be a jerk. (Alias is a good example, but then again they were spies and Syd was there first and Lauren was REALLY evil, so I was kind of ok with that.) But for other kind of marriages, I just don't buy the spontenous, life changing sudden love affairs. I think I need more substance in my romantic relationships, but in fiction and real life.

Be my artist! XD I originally wanted to sign up as an artist too, maybe I'll still do that.

Sorry to have spoiled you! Kind of hard to talk about it without spoiling.
