Summary: Aerith puts up with Yuffie and all her little flaws.
Notes: First game canon only. Please don't comment with spoilers for KHII or spoiler icons. ♥
Yuffie has edges.
She's never denied it. She's tough and smart and secretly a little prickly, and her fingers are light enough to steal the weapon out of your hands if you're not careful. If the word isn't edges, it's flaws. She's likable enough and a true friend, but her definition of a true friend is someone who only swipes at her half heartedly when she steals something.
She's getting better with all of that, anyway. It was a habit she grew into, and now it's a habit she's growing out of, or so she claims. It's just a phase.
And Aerith says it's true. Yuffie hasn't stolen anything in ages. Not even, she teases, the keyblade.
Leon is amazed by Aerith's patience with her. But then, Aerith is patient with everyone. And Yuffie is fascinated with Aerith, always has been; from her neat and tidy figure to her neat and tidy braid to her prettypretty face.
Aerith is a thief in her own way, as Yuffie would declare, given half a chance. One glance, and she steals your heart.
(Leon doesn't agree; he likes Aerith well enough, but...)
