While I do miss the immediacy of radio talkies (and, you know, opportunities to react nigh-instantaneously), it *is* fun listening to podcasts. You choose the content you want to listen to, when you want to listen! :)
Host and produce some of them, yes, for our company, Hinge Inquirer Publications. We're starting to get into them in a big way for our magazines, with one show per title - that's eight different shows bi-weekly. We've recorded several for Mobile Philippines, PC Magazine, Game, Burn and F&B World, and we're recording for Golf Digest Philippines and Spark soon. We're ramping up and will be in full swing by the beginning of next year.
I understand there are still recordings of the old Twisted radio shows available somewhere on the net - which sort of makes them the very first Philippine podcasts ever made, in a way. (Jessica's newer internet-originated material is available, of course, but I'm not on them anymore.)

Funny you mention the Gladwell book - his maven concept is one of our core philosophies in Hinge; we make sure each magazine is staffed by mavens from that mag's field. Some of our casts are on the magazine sites. Remind me to post up a link on my blog page sometime soon.
Nice idea you have there; yes, maybe we can have coffee sometime, before you leave. I'm from the QC area but work in Makati. Anyways, we can email each other.
(Hey, your reply isn't that long - compared to my long-winded rambling posts. I'm surprised people actually take time to read this blog, I'm so talkative.)
I had to hear the podcast for myself before commenting. Not that I didn't believe you; I just wanted to hear how they massacred your name. Way to go, ey-dell! ;-)
When I was starting out in radio in 1983 as a DJ, my on-air trainer Mike Pedero actually wanted me to pronounce my name that way, as in A. Del. Then he gave me the air name "Billy A-Del" (back then Billy Idol was a big thing); needless to say it didn't really work, and people called me all sorts of silly variations on it because they couldn't figure the name out.
Eventually Mike acquiesced and just called me "Little David" (oh, the irony!) because it was the personal record label of one of favorites, Kenny Rankin. The name stuck and I used it for most of my career. Still, simple as it was, people still butchered it, and I'd get phone calls looking for Lito David, Tito David, Little Baby, Tito Baby or the oddest one of all - Patrick. Your guess is as good as mine.
Ah-del, one of my earliest, "in-person" memories of you was at the Kenny Rankin press conference at some forgetten restaurant at Libis (I think). Rex Smith, Christopher Cross and Kenny were here to perform for a Christmas concert. Rex and Christopher were not just nice, they didn't take themselves too seriously and happily mocked themselves.
Sir Rankin though, was such a sourpuss, and was none-too-amused with your Little David story! Hmph!
And hey, Daniel Craig as James Bond finally unleashed upon the world! It's not perfect, but I loved it and watched it three times! I'm such a WINNER. ;-)
I couldn't understand where Rankin's angst was coming from, because if you went by his music, he shoulda been the most laid-back, cool, nothing-flusters-me dude. But man, he was such an unpleasant dork. I never really went for his music, even before I met him - found him a bit too wimpy. Rex and Chris were much better regular-guy celebs.
One of these days I remind me to tell you about my infamous Stephen Bishop SM Megamall anecdote. That's one for the books.
And no, I have not seen the Craig Bond yet. *grumble*
