Serendipity 2

Man, it gets creepier.

In the last post I casually mentioned I was a finalist in the Metropop way back when.

This afternoon in the comment section for the post, my friend Karen asked which song it was in the competition, and I gamely replied which one it was - Out In The Open, co-written with my friend Bob Serrano of Tux, sung by Zebedee and ( Read more... )

That is weird (but if we're to buy into the Spider-Man 3 story, then I guess coincidence is just a part of everyday life). ;)

Oh my word. Really incredible!

Re-living your Metropop moment-I feel the vicarious pride! That was a great time for you and I loved hearing about it.

Mix that in with some Twilight Zone-ish, is-this-really-happening goings-on must have yesterday must have… I can't think of any words! (I already abused they hyphenation!)

My brain… it has not wrapped around it either.

If the next post is entitled Serendipity 3 and has to do with the Metropop in some way...*something* out in God's creation is trying to get your attention, that's for sure!

In the meantime, enjoy the unexpected!

Maybe it's telling you to write more songs 'coz a lot of people actually loved Out in the Open.

I bought a songbook with guitar chords a couple of years ago, and Out In The Open is actually there. Too bad the chords are too difficult for my tiny fingers. But , kewl!

Thanks. Not that I'm fishing for compliments or anything, but I still get a kick out of people liking the song. I saw that same songhit chordbook, and it was a kinda-sorta pleasant surprise. I'm used to my stuff coming out in magazines and books, but I never in my wildest dreams thought that I'd have something in a chord book.

I kinda regret writing about it in this blog though. There was a minor flap in the office yesterday afternoon when my boss read the blog and began asking for a copy of the song, and then went around the place loudly asking people if they'd heard it. Nge. I wanted to hide in a corner.

Either that or you'll keave us with Hajji singing in a nasal pitchy tone of "Kay ganda, ng ating musika...." (you can actually sing it the same way by just pinching your nose). Sige na nga lang, hanapin ko sa Limewire.
