Yesung is quite the enigmatic character. Not many people can get close enough to him to get a word out of him; both physically and mentally. The few people he does talk to are his right-hands. Yesung is most generally summed up as a quiet, mysterious person; it’s hard to tell what he’s feeling or thinking and his expression is always placid and controlled. Because of this, with the addition of his silent nature, Yesung is difficult to read.
He has a softly mysterious type of persona, his defaulted demeanor often a serene smile and soft yet fathomless cryptic eyes. He is often awkward with close personal interactions and relationships and is used to solitude, preferring business meetings with large groups of people where he can easily play the unattached diplomat to gatherings of an intimate sort. To those he isn’t close to (almost everyone), he acts distant and impossible to befriend. To those few that he is close to, he is affectionate in his own quiet subtle ways, and sweet-hearted to the best of his abilities.

His clearest memory of his childhood is waking up on the desolate snow-covered streets of Seoul, alone and barely covered except for a heavily blood-stained blanket, feeling pain everywhere in his little body. He blacked out again soon afterward but not before he saw the face of the woman that would be his adoptive mother.
When he awoke, he found that the only thing he could remember was his name, and when he tried to remember anything else, he would be attacked by sharp headaches. At the time, he was only 5 years old. The leader and his wife (the woman who had found him) decided to adopt him as their own child, as they had no children of their own. To Yesung, they were the only family he had, for he could remember no other.
Yesung grew up being taught how to do business, and how to be a diplomat. He was discovered to have quick eye for such things, a good thing growing up as the son of a mafia leader. He learned quickly and skipped several grades in school. By the time he graduated, he was 16 years old.
Soon after his graduation though, tragedy began to strike in his adoptive family. His father was discovered killed by a mercenary hired by his uncle, Jongjin. His mother went after her brother-in-law and killed him soon afterward. The grief of losing her husband and then killing someone whom she had deeply trusted produced in her a fractured mind from trauma and she lost most sense of herself. She would go in and out of abusive states, and Yesung was often the quiet enduring victim.
On the eve of his 17th birthday (actually the eve of when he was found, December 27th), his mother committed suicide by hanging herself in the doorway of his balcony window. A grand funeral was held for her and her ashes were buried with his father’s. A week later, Yesung was named the new leader of the Kim family.
At first, there was much doubt that such a youngling would be able to lead one of the powerful dominant mafia families of S.Korea but since then, two years have passed without any ugly losses (actually, passing by with much gain), and no one really has much open argument against Yesung’s leadership. However, there has yet to be any break in the sort of peace and quiet between the Kims and the Lees to prove his leadership in a crisis, and an anticipating many are waiting to see how the young leader would react in such a situation.

During a rainy day: Take a walk outside if it’s not too hard. If not, then he will play his piano or simply sit still and listen to the rain against his window with closed eyes.
When in a good mood: Look for Henry. If he can’t, he will go out to the gazebo in the garden and play the white piano out there or listen to music.
When irritated/annoyed/irked: Will not show it; simply smile serenely and make discreet warning motions and purposeful letting down of his guarded glance to show his irritation.
When aggravated: Sigh and frown almost unnoticeably. Stop whatever he is doing and will do something else to distract himself momentarily. If he can, he will do something tedious to calm himself, such as paperwork.
When confused: Depending on who it is, he will either ask them to explain again or simply peruse over it himself when he is alone.
When confessing one’s love: Speak very quietly and tentatively, with a light blush on his cheeks and his face downcast, but with eyes peering up hesitantly from behind his long bangs.
When accused of doing something one didn’t do: Raise an eyebrow; ask them calmly what would make them accuse him of something like that.
