We started to burn fire breaks this week! Monday was our first night, we continued last night, and then tonight we had off. It was incredible, definitely not alike anything I have ever done before. Basically we are intentionally burning a section of mostly cut grass so that if a wildfire does come, it won't be able to pass that section as it is

Just saying hi, i{m done the turtle project now, worked in eco-agro-tourism for a week and am on my way to head up north to work near volcano arenal!
how about I send some of my night time heat your way? I have never been able to sleep with absolutely nothing covering me, not even a sheet before, its so hot. Oh yeah and a family of bats lived in the hole in my ceiling and liked to fly around...that was nice. apparently they are good and eat the equally gross buts but I am terrified of them! hummm, this is turning into a little email, well, keep saving africa from fires and being generally awesome, I miss you and really want us to travel together sometime! hugs! haha this computer won{t let me do asterics....you get the point :)
