Between Running and Flying

Big owl out by the airport showed me that it was so easy because I was riding with the wind, flap flap, glide...flap flap, glide...then turned around. That means I have to bike into the wind (uphill) to get home. I had just flashed on Icarus watching planes launch themselves into the sky. That's great! Thanks for the invite to the Monday ride, though I think all-day might be too big a chunk of time. Studio requires at least 4 hours on Mondays... If you guys do a 2-3 hour ride, though, on a relatively easy route I'd love to go (or a 4 hour ride on fairly flat...)

I don't know how long exactly the ride is, but I took a long route through St. John's and stopped for a shot of espresso and it couldn't have been more than 2 hours one way even with that detour. If we skipped St. John's and just get on the Peninsula Crossing Trail I think we'd even have some time to stop and enjoy the view at the confluence.

and yeah, it's really flat out on the peninsula. There's bumps, but nothing like the ridge at 15th and Prescott.
