This made me cry like a fourteen year old girl.

It is so - artfully written. I think you have taken all of the confusion, and doubts, that one occurs when one is in love (and they never really go away) and shown them admirably.

The situation was so painful, but John Watson is well loved.

Thank you for this addition

*hands tissue* Very sorry about that...

Thank you so much for the (super) positive feedback. I was kind of worried about putting this up here (sarisa sort of prodded me into it), but now I feel better about it. :)

In my defense, I didn't prod. I just... said that you should post this to the community. A couple of times. Once or twice. Maybe.

A truely fantastic homage to these two characters. You portrayed them perfectly and with excellent emotion.
This is such a realistic consequence of events thoguh, it does make me kind of want an OT3 just to spare them all the pain.

Thank you! I know how you feel about wanting an OT3, no matter how this goes it's always so painful... but I suppose there would be so much less to write without all the angst.

So true! Oh well, a little pain now and then makes the good stuff so much sweeter ;)

This was sad, in a believably complicated rather than an emo way. I really felt for all three of them in this. I do hope Watson is happy with Holmes eventually, though...

Thank you!! I hope so, too. I think they will be. I know I, at least, can never resist a happy ending.

Thank you so much, that's what I was hoping would come across. :)

Oh, I love this. Thoughtful and understated and bittersweet, and a very nice companion piece to Letters... a moment of understanding, and a bit of a happy ending that isn't, quite.

Very nice, indeed ;)

Thank you! That means a lot :) I do get so worried, writing without my partner in crime.
