That is possibly the most beautiful piece I've ever heard; Elenor Daily was actually the organist and choirmaster if my church back home in the T-dot (Fairlawn Heights United); I had the good fortune of hearing her stuff all through my life and I am constantly amazed at her abilities; It was really nice, because she would often perform drafts of pieces, to see how they would actually sound, so I've heard a bunch of slight variations on alot of her work, including the Requiem.
I agree 100% with you on the Requiem! I only know the "Do Not Stand" movement (sang it in 2nd year), but it's a FANTASTIC piece! Beautiful poem, beautiful message, beautifully set to music. And when the bass part hits that final low E...shivers!
If only we were encouraged to compose music which sounds this good...
