Totally know what you're talking about. My parents did almost the exact same thing a few months ago, and I still can't forgive them. The sucky thing is, they don't even realize what they did wrong. :( And I can't make them see it.

The thing is, as much as 2006 sucked, I can't see 07 being much better. I WANT it to be, but I feel like I'm doomed from the start.
And the worst part is that I can't see my dad letting up any time soon. I told him just before Christmas that my plans had changed and since then it's been a constant picking at me. My mum tries to fob it off as 'just teasing', which doesn't help the matter, and despite the fact that I've ended up in tears MULTIPLE times (they really don't know just how difficult it was for me to tell them -- for just this reason) my dad can't accept that what he's doing isn't just harmless fun.
I hope you had a much better New Year's Eve than I did. Best of luck for the coming year.
