Well, I did it...

So...I walked across the stage, shook the dean's hand, posed for a picture, & am now officially an alumni. It was the most boring thing I've ever done. 3 hours of my life I'll never get back. Seriously, excruciating. Handley babysat my nieces at the hotel & I would have much rather been with them. Katie describes my youngest niece, Arri, like this:

"Imagine if Nicole had raised a child....it would be Arri." Arri & I are a lot alike. We talk the same. Act the same. We're both hams. My sister, Dory, also overheard the three oldest girls (14, 13, & 13) discussing college in the hotel. Lyndsey proposed that they could all come up here to FSU. They all agreed that was a definite. Then they said they were all going to join AGD and live in the house together, but since they won't be living there freshman year, they could just live with me. Courtney commented: "You know what? I really don't think Aunt Nicole will even make us pay, but we should get little jobs and help her out anyway." lol. I think it's great that they think I'm cool enough to live with when they come to college....since I'll be almost 30 when that happens. And they're probably right. If I have the money....I won't make them pay. Either that, or I'll have their parents pay me and then give them mad spending money on the weekends. :)

We went to Smokey Bones one night for dinner and Arri got onion rings. We were reading the description...."Beer battered onion rings"....She looks up at me and says, "Oh man, that must be why I feel a little woozy" (Remember, she's 9) She cracks me up.

Mom was emotional. She said she never thought I would make it. lol. I told her I didn't think I'd make it either, but here I am.

On another note, I'm excited about recruitment and helping out. Never thought I'd say that. After pref day last year, I swore I'd never rush again or even pass out water, but we all know that would never happen. I'll do whatever I can to help.

Alright, alright, alright...enough rambling. Time to go to work. Peace out.
