As mentioned in my previous post, I had to take a couple of weeks off for my brain's sake. I will be going back to the last two discussions to rep to the posts there in the next day or so, since you all had some great comments.

I agree that Lara/Gara/Kirney is one of the more complex characters (and, yes, she needs a YoSaffBridge name). Because at first, she's a spy! So, you kind of want to hate her. But then, you realize she's just brainwashed and a little (lot) broken, so you don't. And *spoiler alert* she kind-of-sort-of shows up in later New Jedi Order (Fate of the Jedi?) books as the co-owner of a shuttle company. Yay!

*raises hand* I do manage not to make a spectacle of myself, but only after several readings, and knowing what's coming. Mostly. And I pronounce it Zinge (rhyming with singe). I have no idea if that's right, but it works.

There's a Donoslane shuttle company in one of Aaron's NJO books. It made me squeal!

(I pronounce Zsinj in my head the same way.)

LaGaKirn? I love her; her mental break is just so... poignant? I think that's the word I want. And each step she takes on her journey *makes sense*!

I don't need to be alone for that event. However... *raises hand for second point* Zinge? Zuh-singe? Syringe? Oh wait, I'm playing with my words again, sorry.

I didn't expect to like / care about Lara, and it snuck up on me. Which is the sign of a well-done character, in my book.

Up to Iron Fist in my own re-read at the moment! Not looking forward to chapter 12. I've always pronounced Zsinj as Suh-singe.
