Are we Gothic Royals not amused? Sewers and crafters may be. Just heard radio news that Queen Victoria's underwear has been sold at auction. Reporter most modern mentioned measurements of Majesty's unmentionables, as well. Textile and Historical collectors must be on holiday elsewhere...price seemed commonly LOW. Vicky's knickers!

A week & a day til PDX VMB...Sun shining. Windows clean. Can accurately see hues and tints & textures of black & red fabrics mounded, puddled, cascading...avalanching(new verb!) over every horizontal surface of domicile. Inspired by C23 photos of past years. Ready, set---freeze! Sewer's block- what a drag!

19 days til Portland's VMB...every year I resolve to dress UP- stratospherically UP. Every year I chicken out, enter that year's Ballroom Portal, and gasp! Why didn't I....?!? Summoning the muse of last minute impoverished but brilliant couture...I shall dream of the divinity that will be my costume- Tonight!

was it Mark Twain who said: "Better to be silent and have everyone assume you are stupid than to speak up and remove all doubt?"
