Okay, I've been looking forward to this ever since it popped up on my feed, and I finally got to sit down with it, and WOW. Just wonderful. Even knowing SOMETHING was up with Dean, the scene where Sam figures it out is just chilling. And of course BAMF, seriously injured, maybe dying but still fighting Sam just ticks ALL my boxes. Love it!!!!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. 'Never give up' Sam ticks all my boxes too. :-D There's more to this story, but it's going to be a much looser set of stories than Lustra, and certainly isn't replacing Lustra. I'll be writing shorter little stories in this AU of season four as I get time and inclination between episodes.

That was magnificent! The pacing was incredible, and what a story! Man, when you injure Sam you really do a number on him, the jaw and tongue had me physically jolting in shock. This is the Sam I see whenever I watch the show; focused and strong as hell, especially to save Dean. And I loved Dean having Sam's back with the blood drinking. You kinda get the feeling that Sam could maybe control things much better if Dean is in his corner with it, ensuring he stays on track.

Loved it to bits. I didn't want it to end.
