I would definitely recommend it! I was sorry I had to leave the rest of it at the restaurant... Although jenn said it would be alright in the car in a closed container, I didn't want to chance it on her. She described the smell as the sickly-sweet smell of rotting fruit and was really bothering her.
The first couple sips I did hold my breath to taste it, but after that I smelled only the taste of it, which was quite pleasant.
For as much as I'm going on about the drink, I suppose I should add that the food was really good, too. I've only had Vietnamese a couple times (a couple places here, and in DC), so I don't know if it's really good Vietnamese or not... but I definitely like it.
You're making me disappointed there are no Korean places near work. One of the best meals I've ever had was at a Korean BBQ place in NYC, complete with kimchi. (jenn was absent from that meal)
When I was in Taiwan for a month this summer I tried a million different things you'd never find here in the states, and one of them was durian. Disappointedly, it was by far the worst thing I had there. I got one bite down and couldn't handle more. Though I didn't enjoy it much either, I thought stinky tofu was more manageable than the durian, if that puts it into perspective.
