In an email from professor:

"Welcome to ASTR 1303 Stellar Astronomy.

We will be covering the Universe as a whole. This is a lot of material."

Are you taking astronomy with lab? I'm trying to decide between astronomy and biology. Let me know how it goes!

I really wanted to take the lab, especially since they didn't have that option for solar astronomy when I took it last semester, but it's not offered in the summer. But the lecture course transfers just the same for my purposes, awesome telescope field trips aside.
I think it's cooler than biology not only because the subject matter is so mind-blowing (to me at least) that learning it is like the brink of an existential crisis (in a good way...?), but also because it's new material. We heard enough about cell mitosis and phylums and shit in high school.
Also: be warned that it gets pretty math-y since it's physics based.
