Thermos

A thermos keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. But how does it do it? This is a question that has vexed me for a long time, and I've never taken the time to read up on it. I'm not sure why this is the case, but it probably has something to do with the fact that there's a veritable mile-long list of things that I "intend" to get done that
